Talks are afloat that Bhutanese soccer is on the decline, especially after the national team’s poor performance at the recent SAF championship in Bangladesh. The Indian capital saw the opening of a unique photo exhibition Wednesday as His Majesty Jigme Khesar, dressed impeccably in a brownish-red kurta inaugurated “Bhutan: An Eye to History” at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi. Tucked in a quiet corner between Norzin Lam and Chang Lam, a group of 60 people, beating the cold  with uncountable cups of tea and shoutfuls of enthusiasm, are making a  movie which the producer says would cross Nu 3m, beating local production figures till date. Looking through his thick lenses around the busy Saturday market, Birkha Bahadur, 49, signals a vendor at the next row settling back on his tattered stool, “The man was supposed to come by 12 noon and collect the meat but hasn’t showed up.” Birkha Bahadur occupies a small space in the Centenary Farmers’ Market.
